Recently, I was asked by the Leadership Institute at Harvard College to answer the following question for a special feature in their next annual magazine: “What is leadership/what does leadership mean to you?”
After taking too much time to think about it, here’s what I sent back:
To me, true leadership is getting things done. It’s about getting things done not by getting people to believe in you, but by inspiring them to believe in themselves– that they’re directly responsible for fulfilling the shared vision for success.
